Week 6: Sept. 19-23, 2k22

We're finishing the Middle Ages!
  1. What was the social hierarchy of the Catholic Church (draw the triangle like the feudalism triangle)  & what did the Church provide during the Middle Ages?

  2. What are the Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church?  How are some of these sacraments similar to Jewish practices?  Provide an example…

  3. What was the purpose of the Crusades & after reading about the Crusades. Who were the winners & losers?

  4. Based on the reading, would you say the Crusades were more violent or more political? (opinionated…)

  5. What is one result of the Crusades (That page with 7 things on it…SUMMARIZE one of those things in your own words)

  6. What was the purpose of the art & architecture during the Middle Ages?

  7. What was the purpose of the illuminated manuscript?  Do you think these illuminated manuscripts were beneficial/good for the people?  Why/why not? (opinionated!)

  3. Choose one heraldic element & a pattern (see below) -- Explain why you chose it and how it relates to you.
  4. Create, or select, one other feature to add to your Coat of Arms. It does not have to be on the symbolism of heraldic element page. It can simply be something unique to you, your family, or something you love/enjoy. Explain this feature and why you chose it in detail
