No School Monday - Shavuot!

Day 1
In Class:
Finish watching the film "Everest".  “Based on a true story” reads the inevitable boiler-plate claim at the outset of the film. Everest chronicles the disastrous 1996 season on the mountain’s South Col route, when five climbers, including expedition leaders Rob Hall and Scott Fischer, perished, thanks to a fast-arriving storm combined with bad decisions about turn-around times and chaotic leadership. And though Jon Krakauer, my longtime colleague and climbing buddy, was not consulted by the filmmakers, the script hews, for the most part faithfully, to the account of the catastrophe in Into Thin Air...

HW: None!

Day 2 & 3
Above, you see there are bubble letters with drawings inside of them. You are going to do this with the phrase “7th Grade” as seen above with the following terms that we’ve learned over the course of the year. You will provide a three sentence minimum explanation about the topic you selected. You may include more sentences if you choose, but three is the minimum. You may pick from the following terms below to include for the information on the project and you will color inside a letter that illustrates the unit. This means you will have eight terms, three sentences for each term, and eight letters to draw inside of.

Renaissance      Age of Xploration      Islam     Hinduism      Nationalism      World War I
