In a five paragraph essay you are going to answer the following question:

How did the events/discoveries of the Scientific, Industrial, and French Revolutions prove they were in fact revolutionary?

In your introduction, you will define the word “revolution” and develop a thesis statement that explains how each of these revolutions are accurate definitions of the word.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You may create an outline on one sheet of lined paper (front only) of how to write the essay, but you must get the outline approved by your teacher.

You will receive your outline once the teacher has approved of it. You may not write any  complete sentences on your outline. You may not use an outline if it is not approved by your teacher.  There are no exceptions.  The outline must be handwritten.

Introduction:  Everyone’s essay will start with the following sentence: "A revolution is an overthrow of the government or a series of significant changes". You will then have a second sentence that is more specific to what the essay will be about.  You will also have a thesis statement that states why the events during the Scientific, Industrial, and French Revolution were, in fact, revolutionary.

Body Paragraph 1 -- Scientific Revolution -- Choose a minimum one event from this era & explain WHY the event(s)were revolutionary - How? The first sentence in the paragraph introduces what the Scientific Revolution was. Explain!

Body Paragraph 2 -- Industrial Revolution -- The first sentence in the paragraph introduces what the Industrial  Revolution was. Choose a minimum one event from this era & explain WHY the event(s) were revolutionary - How? Explain!

Body Paragraph 3 -- French Revolution -- The first sentence in the paragraph introduces what the French  Revolution was.Choose a minimum two events from this era and explain WHY these events were revolutionary - How? Explain!

Conclusion -- Conclude your essay and restate your thesis stating why these three revolutions were, in fact, revolutionary.
