In Class: Go over the Q's from the Islam chapter -- Turn in the annotated notes as a HW grade when we finish going over all the answers. Let's also watch the John Greene's Crash Course World History to see more about the 5 Pillars and what happened to Islam after Muhammad's death in 632 CE. We are also going to look at the similarities and differences between Islam and Judaism. Test on Friday regarding the Q's from the annotated notes chapter/packet.

In Class: Introduction to Islam... We will be reading a packet about Islam put together by Mr. Barry and Ms. Jordan that covers some of the history of Islam and the basic faith based principles of the religion. You will each receive a packet and you have a job to do. You will annotate the packet answering the Q's provided on the handout given to you. These annotations to the packet will help you understand Islam and as you find the answers to the Q's you should be able to discuss them with the class when finished.
***Your goal is to find the answers to the Q's in the reading. You can circle the answers and number them. You can highlight the answers and number them. You can write out the answers in your own words next to the text after circling/highlighting. These packets are a Quiz grade and will be graded in 5 point increments based on attention to detail, highlighting/circling the answers, and adequately annotating the packet***
