Mr. Barry's class for Tuesday 8/26 & Wednesday 8/27

Hey Gang! I am on the 8th grade retreat...YOU next year! Please read through the rest of the Geography Unit doc & answer the following Q's in your notebooks for a HW grade.

  1. How does water scarcity affect human & plant life?
  2. Provide two things mentioned from each of the three videos posted in the reading.
  3. Why do you think there is so much water scarcity in the world based on the reading? (inference-based)
  4. What can nations do to improve the water scarcity problems? (inference-based)
  5. Provide five push & pull factors of immigration?
  6. What do immigrants bring to their new countries?
  7. What do you think is the most common push and pull factor for immigrants? Explain your answer in as much detail as possible.
  8. Do you personally believe immigration has a more positive or negative impact on a country? Explain your answer and be specific.
  9. Provide six uses for oil.
  10. What are some world effects of oil consumption & discovery?
  11. Do you think oil production and oil consumption do more good than bad? Explain your answer & provide at least one detail.
  12. Now that we’ve finished our Geography Unit, what do you think were the five most important lessons/ideas that you learned? Be specific!
